Somehow after this, my respect for our local designers went up a notch and yet at the same time feel that they are underrated too. These people are so creative! Singaporeans need to show more support for our local designers – that’s what I think. They are our unsung heroes!

PS* Sorry for the bad pictures. I’ve tried…. I really don’t have the skill to take good pictures and what’s worse is that I’m still clueless as to how to take pictures with my Blackberry after I downgraded the software LOL!

**The only problem I have is their Rice Pudding. I abhor it and I avoid it like a plague. We feedback to them so many times that the Rice Pudding S***. Even the staff told us that many customers complained as well. Don’t understand why the chef is so persistent on serving it still (-__-*).

Cheese cake is great too! Tastes light and the sweetness is just right.

I ran less than 1km and walked the rest of  the 9.5km perhaps? LOL! When we passed the first U-turn, I wanted to give Cecilia the go-ahead to go without me but being the faithful friend that she is, she waited patiently for me and I felt so bad about it. We got separated at the first gel station and I knew then that I was on my own and… it was up to me if I want to finish the 10km or not. Well, what the heck right? There’s no turning back so might as well enjoy the walk….

You know something? I thought it’s going to be chicken feet since it’s only WALKING….

What a freaking long walk! Kept cursing and swearing under my breath for being an idiot – signing up for this of course. What irks me most was that we, participants, suddenly become “tourist attraction”. People in their cars, in the buses, in the cabs whipped out their cameras and started snapping pictures of us at our ugliest moments. I wanted to smack them, really but I can’t *sigh*.

And by the way, the morning sun was horrendous. Thank goodness I had foresight and brought a relatively large face towel to wrap my face with it. Otherwise I think I would have been barbecued haha!

To my HORROR of HORRORS! I thought I was almost done with my 10km until I saw this 6km mark. Really wanted to jump into the river at that moment.

Completing this 10km basically fulfilled all that I’ve set out to do for 2010. The sense of achievement is overpowering. Just a terrific feeling that I’ve a fruitful 2010.

So! 2011 I can welcome you with open arms now hahahahaha!

Whenever I meet up with Fayth for dinner she will always tell me about her plans of what she hopes to do or intend to do. It was great listening to her because all that she told me was real. She wasn’t bragging neither was she procrastinating. She has done it. And she being selected by Parco Marina Bay for the fashion designer Incubator Project, proved it all.

It’s a good start. A really, really good opportunity for her to showcase her talent as an independent designer.

Well, some of you may not know what the Incubator Project is about, the project aims to “help aspiring fashion designers turn their innovative ideas and concepts into successful and competitive businesses. This is done through providing them with a start-up platform within a well-planned environment, where they can learn business essentials and processes specific to the industry. The designers undergo a structured training and mentorship programme over 18 months, including a 12 month business and retail component.” (NEXT FASHION DESIGNERS)

I attended the nextNEXT!PHENOMENA 2010 fashion show on Friday with Ruf. When all the fashion designers went up on stage to be introduced, Ruf and I can’t stop beaming with pride for Fayth. She was awesome!

And by the way, Fayth’s label, Ffayth will be launched in April 2011 by Parco along with the other selected Incubator Project designers as well. Ruf and I can’t wait. When we saw the models walk down the runway with Fayth’s clothes, we have decided what we are going to get haha! I’ve promised Fayth I will be her biggest spending customer and I will. I’ve already told her the amount I’ve set aside to buy her clothes *wink wink*.

I was so excited, waited almost 3 weeks for the bags…

Checked Fayth’s brown leather on off-white canvas classic carry-all bag, inside and out… Very satisfied with the workmanship…

Then I checked mine (black leather on off-white canvas classic carry-all bag)… Was fine with it – INITIALLY…

Until Felvira pointed out the black stains at the back of the bag… When I saw those stains I was like, “What the hell”…

Horrible right?

I immediately drop them 2 emails requesting for a replacement. And I HOPE they will revert back to me ASAP and not take my money and run.

I paid USD148 for each bag and I expect good workmanship.

Utterly DISAPPOINTED.

Firstly, the black leather looks so fake. It’s as though someone sprayed black paint over the original leather to make it look black.

Secondly, the black leather has this very sandy feel to it. I felt Fayth’s bag and it feels like how leather should feel. Mine feels like smoulded rubber.

Thirdly, the black dye RUNS. I can see black dye on my hands!!!

Fourthly, the stains are all over the back of my bag.

If I HAD KNOWN, I would have gotten the brown leather on off-white canvas carry-all instead. And thank goodness the brown leather one was ok. I got that for Fayth as a belated birthday present. If her bag has some defect as well… can you imagine how embarrassing would that be for me?

Really, if  no one revert on my request for a replacement for the brown leather on off-white canvas carry-all, I will NEVER buy from John & Mary again.

This clown is funny in  a scary way. The brats (mind you, the brats are teens) went to provoke him and they ended up being stalk by him around the restaurant. It was hilarious! I wasn’t even laughing at the clown, I was laughing at those brats screaming their heads off as they run around the restaurant like some retards LOL.

While lining up to get into the Gui Mansion (haunted house), these ghosts obediently posed for me so that I could take pictures of them haha!

We waited 2.5 hours to get into the haunted house and it was worth it! The suspense and shock factor are extremely high in there especially when the ghosts and monsters are stalking you wherever you go. Anyways, this was the main attraction for Halloween Horrors. Even though, we didn’t manage to take a look at Memories for the Departed, the Gui Mansion made up for that “lost” haha.

Got these from Daiso. Spent $8 in all. Good bargain huh.

Can’t wait to wear these and carry the little bag for Halloween Horrors (^___^)b.
